چکیده
Introduction: Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID) is the most prevalent primary immunodeficiency in adult population. The diagnosis based on low concentration of at least 2 immunoglobulin classes, mostly IgG, with IgA and/or IgM. Beside recurrent infections, patients CVID usually suffer from different respiratory, gastrointestinal, autoimmune and malignant diseases. Leading therapeutic approach to managing regular intravenous (IVIG) subcutaneous (SCIG) replacement therapy. Aim: aim study was analyze clinical laboratory parameters CVID. Material methods: present included 24 who were treated Clinic Allergy Immunology, University Clinical Center Serbia 2012 2022. Demographic data, obtained patients' medical records. concentrations IgM measured by nephelometry. Statistical analysis performed using descriptive methods, Student t test for independent samples Fisher exact test. Results: Respiratory manifestations found 70.8% patients, gastrointestinal 45.8%, 29.2% malignancies 20.8%. presence diseases common within aged between 20 30 years, it statistically significantly higher comparing other age groups (p = 0.014). Serum IgG 7.6 ± 2.7 g/l measured. Statistically observed receiving SCIG (10.2 1.6), compared those IVIG (6.7 2.4) (t -3.3, p 0.003). Premedication required 44.4% IVIG. Conclusion: complication are chronic lung Autoimmune frequently diagnosed ages 30. use identified as better form Total serum measuring infections can contribute timely diagnosis.

Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is an immunological disorder characterized by defective antibody production, recurrent infections, most notably of the respiratory tract, autoimmune phenomena and cancer. Some CVID patients may also present disturbances of the cellular immune response such as a decrease in the number and proportion of different lymphocyte populations, diminished lymphopro...
متن کاملEvaluation of Clinical and Laboratory Data in Patients with Recurrent Infections and Suspected Immunodeficiency
Background: Frequent infections is among the most frequent clinical dilemmas for primary care physicians. Immunodeficiency disorders are a heterogeneous group of illnesses that predispose patients to the recurrent infections, autoimmunity and malignancies. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical and laboratory data collected for the final diagnosis of patients referred with recurrent...

Common variable immunodeficiency (CV ID) is a heterogeneous primary immunodeficiency disorder, characterized by hypogammaglobulinemia and increased susceptibility to recurrent bacterial infections. To determine the spectrum of infectious complications in patients with common variable immunodeficiency (CV ID), we reviewed the hospital records of 64 CVID patients, who were diagnosed in Child...

common variable immunodeficiency (cvid) is a heterogeneous group of disorders, characterized by hypogammaglobulinemia and increased susceptibility to recurrent infections, autoimmunity and malignancies. we have previously shown that some pediatric patients with cvid can respond to meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine. twelve pediatric cases with cvid were re-evaluated to determine whether bacte...

BACKGROUND Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is characterized by hypogammaglobulinemia, defective antibody production, and recurrent upper and lower airway tract infections. OBJECTIVES To reveal the clinical heterogeneity of this condition, analyze the high frequency of respiratory and gastrointestinal complications despite satisfactory trough immunoglobulin (Ig) G levels, and determine...
